Chrome extension CRM for founders
A Chrome-extension CRM lives in the side panel, next to the person on the page. Founder CRM is that, plus it goes and finds people on X, Product Hunt and Reddit. You write every message.
What a Chrome-extension CRM is
Most CRMs are websites. You find someone on X, then you open HubSpot in another tab and type their name into a form built for a sales team. By the time you get back, the thread has moved.
A Chrome-extension CRM is the opposite. The record sits beside the profile. You add a person, write a note, and see what you already said, without leaving the page.
That is why founders who do their own outreach keep looking for one. The work happens in the browser. The CRM should too.
Browser-native vs HubSpot and other dashboards
HubSpot, Salesforce and the other dashboard CRMs are good at pipelines. Stages, deal values, required fields, a seat for every rep. None of that helps when you are one person trying to remember who you DMed last Tuesday.
A browser-native CRM skips the dashboard:
- It opens as a Chrome side panel, on the tab you are already on.
- The list lives in your Chrome profile, not on a company server.
- There is one next action per person, not a board of stages.
- There is no seat to buy.
You do not import a CSV and hope the sync holds. You save people as you find them, or you describe who you want and let a flow go look.
Not a LinkedIn-only Chrome CRM
Search for a Chrome CRM and you will mostly find LinkedIn overlays. They read a Sales Navigator profile and push it into HubSpot. Useful if your whole pipeline lives on LinkedIn.
Founders hunting first customers do not live there. They live on X, Product Hunt and Reddit: makers who launched today, people asking for the thing you just built, founders posting in public.
A LinkedIn-only extension never sees those people. Founder CRM rides along on the sites you already use. It can also open those sites in your own Chrome session, keep the people who fit, and file them next to the page you found them on.
What Founder CRM does
Tell it who your customer is. It opens X, Product Hunt and Reddit in the Chrome you are already signed into, keeps the people who fit, and saves them on your machine. Then it hands you a short list of who to message today.
It files names, handles, links and notes. It reminds you when someone is due. It does not draft the message, auto-DM, or press send. There is no plan to add that.
The extension is free. There is no Founder CRM account. Optional AI features use your own xAI, OpenAI, Anthropic or Google key, and you pay those providers directly.
How to get it
Install Founder CRM from the install page. It is free, local, and needs no account.
Chrome Web Store approval is coming soon. When the listing is public you will be able to add it from the store in one click. Until then the install page has the current download, and a note you can leave if you would rather wait for the store.
Who it is for
Indie and early founders doing personal outreach for first customers. You do not need a sales team, a pipeline, or another seat. You need a short list of real people and a way not to lose them.
It is not for teams that live in HubSpot, and it is not for anyone who wants a bot to send on their behalf.
Questions founders ask
- Is this a HubSpot alternative?
- For a founder doing their own outreach, yes. It is not a replacement for a sales team dashboard.
- Does it only work on LinkedIn?
- No. It is built around X, Product Hunt and Reddit, and the side panel works on the page you are on.
- Does it send messages for me?
- No. It finds people, files them and reminds you. You type and send.
- When can I install from the Chrome Web Store?
- Approval is coming soon. Install today, or leave an email there for a note when the listing is live.
- Where does my list live?
- In your Chrome profile on this machine. There is no Founder CRM account and no cloud CRM sync.
